Kathryn Homes is safely welcoming visitors back to its care homes across Northern Ireland in line with guidance from the Department of Health issued on 7th May 2021.
The application of the Pathway depends upon a number of assessments undertaken by the Care Home with the Home Managers able to advise should you have any queries.
Arranged Visits to the Homes
Residents can now avail of two arranged visits per week (up to one house) from two people at a time.
Children can visit but must be supervised and included in the total number of visitors at any time.
Room visits are permitted with a window open.
Aprons and masks are to be worn inside the home, but gloves can be replaced with handwashing to enable handholding.
Visitors and residents can meet within the grounds of the home with access to gardens.
Visits out of the Home
Residents may resume trips out of the home with no requirement to self-isolate on return providing all restrictions and guidelines proposed by the Department of Health and Public Health Agency have been followed.
Shared Care arrangements to resume as previously defined following risk assessment.
The following will continue:
- Enhanced cleaning of individual and communal spaces
- Maintain adherence to current Infection Prevention and Control measures
- Screening of all visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID-19
- Isolation arrangements to respond to individual circumstances and as per policy
Should you wish to schedule a visit or have any queries regarding visiting arrangements, please contact the Home Manager.
